A Partner for Success
RBS Greenwich Capital’s Real Estate Finance Group is one of the industry’s leading providers of capital to the commercial real estate industry. With significant strength in loan origination and secondary market liquidity, RBS Greenwich Capital was named "Bank of the Year" in Real Estate Finance & Investment’s (a publication of Institutional Investor) 2004 Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Awards.

As a principal lender, we offer comprehensive solutions across the leverage spectrum, and are able to address every level of a project’s capital structure and tailor financing solutions to each borrower’s unique circumstances. In 2004, the Group originated more than $6 billion in fixed and floating rate loans, mezzanine financing and preferred equity, and ranked among the top 10 CMBS underwriters and book runners in the United States. The Group lead-managed the distribution of nearly $7.5 billion of commercial mortgage-backed securities.

The Real Estate Finance Group maintains an active trading presence in the secondary market, helping to support CMBS market liquidity with more than $12 billion of annual trading volume. Finally, a talented team of strategists gives our clients access to insightful economic analysis and timely trading strategies. In 2004, RBS Greenwich Capital formed an arrangement with Goldman Sachs, known as 'GG' that issued $5.2 billion of securities in its first few months of operation, including the then fourth and fifth largest fixed rate commercial mortgage-backed transactions in U.S. history. The GG securitizations have since become a benchmark for participants in the CMBS market.
